Individual Therapy

A safe space for you to get a better understanding of yourself

Crossing the River_edited.jpg

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a collaborative process where we will be making sense of things together. Rather than simply offering advice or reassurance, I will carefully listen to you and help you to think about yourself and your relationships differently. Therapy can be a very helpful process for anyone wishing to develop greater self-awareness and a better understanding of their relationships, both past and present.

Working through difficult feelings requires commitment, and psychotherapy can therefore feel like a challenging process. But it can also be rewarding and cathartic. As you explore your own experiences, you can reach deeper levels of understanding. You may also discover new choices and options for your future.

People who contact me for individual therapy have sometimes been experiencing some of the following:

  • Low mood and depression

  • Feeling numb

  • Angry feelings

  • Anxiety or panicky feelings

  • Self-esteem and confidence issues

  • Difficulties at work

  • Loneliness

  • Difficult relationships or breakups

  • Feeling stuck in destructive and repetitive relationship patterns

  • Family problems

  • Sexual difficulties

  • Abuse (sexual, physical, or psychological)

  • Trauma

Whatever it is you bring, we will carefully explore your thoughts and concerns together, in a safe and confidential environment.
